Education & Experience

High School Diploma

  • Experience in writing detailed Xactimate Estimates/Invoices for interior water restoration projects, particularly in the $5,000-$100,000 loss range for residential projects.
  • 5+ Years restoration experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
  • High experience in Xactimate.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Work Requirements

  • Write high-detail Xactimate Estimates/Invoices for interior water restoration projects, including both mitigation and repairs.
  • Understand construction trades’ order of operations for accurate scope writing.
  • Have in-depth knowledge about interior building products, light mechanical items, types of flooring, wood floor species, general cabinetry, drywall, interior trim, interior painting, etc.
  • Discuss, educate, and negotiate with adjusters on the scope of written estimates.
  • Make decisions on project acceptance based on profit issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers at the end of the estimating phase as the project begins.
  • Submit supplements on claims as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors for estimating purposes.
  • Analyze and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Create change orders with customers for upgrades and changes.
  • Assist in project management as needed.
